Quaerere [kwae' re re] means "to search" and is the Latin word from which are derived such English words as "quest", "question" and "query". Man's search for Truth is the interest of this website. It is an interest however that is played out within the parameters of Theology, where the search for Truth is really an adventurous exploration into the depths of Mystery.
The word "theology" would mean differently depending on whether it is conceived of as a discipline of the mind, or as a course curriculum to be followed. This website was set up as an aid for college students in the Philippines -- specifically those of Colegio San Agustin-Bi�an -- who are taking up undergraduate theology courses. Other institutions would perhaps call it "religious instruction/education", and not regard such courses by the lofty title "theology". For the Augustinian schools in the Philippines, such course is called "theology" because it is not only instruction in "religious" questions, but also a studied reflection on revealed truths as these are explained by the Catholic Church.
